Order your flowers locally for delivery or collection

Blooms of Bramhall is a new flower shop in Cheshire offering flowers for collection or delivery. The website allows clients to select flowers and order online then select a delivery or pickup time and date for the flowers.

The brief

To design and build an e-commerce website for selling flowers online, including adding in product add ons like gift messages and chocolates. We also were asked to add in delivery and collection dates for for the orders.

The solution

PepperStreet used good old WooCommerce as the basis for this website. We build in variable products so flowers could be ordered in different sizes and added in categories that could be filtered to show flowers for different occassions.

We used Tyche software's Order Delivery Date plugin to enable users to select a delivery date or collection date at checkout. In addition, Acoweb's Woocommerce Custom Product Addons offered us a flexible way to allow add on to the product. What we love about the Acoweb plugin as opposed to the WooCommerce Product Add On plugin is that Acoweb offers conditional logic. This means we could offer a balloon and if the user checked "Yes" for a balloon we could then display as a condition the list of balloons. Again the message box could be hidden until a user checks an "Add message" box. This means the page can be kept cleaner and the usability of the site increases with this conditional logic.

Overall we were really pleased with the end result. The homepage has now been updated by the client and they are managing the website so changes have occurred. The design was initially really slick and used the BB from Blooms of Bramhall to create a #n ornate and floral divider specific to the brand.
