Order a burger online for collection or delivery

Filthy Macs cook burgers from Cafe Waterside Thursday through Saturday. The website now offers an online ordering system, that also allows the user to pick a collection time and date or select a delivery slot for their order.

The brief

To create an automated system to manage the takeaway burgers for Filthy Macs. To include e-commerce, a easy to navigate menu structure, add ons like chips and drinks to orders and the ability to select a collection date and time in advance.

The solution

PepperStreet selected some fairly weighty plugins to help. The Barn2 restaurant ordering plugin was an excellent platform from which to launch the development. In addition to this Iconic's Delivery Slots Plugin meant we could set up delivery times and dates. The plugin allowed us to set specific days and specific times slots (only 5pm - 9pm) and also to specify and costs involved.

The design was created to give a funky youthful feeling yet instil a sense of trust and quality. The overarching driver was usability to this end we tried to make the process as easy as possible to order using pop up models for products rather than loading new pages and in addition allowing the selection of chips, and other choices on the product page.

We are thoroughly happy with the end result and the site has increased orders for Filthy Macs but an enormous amount. The first weekend trading on the website saw the biggest number of orders taken in any weekend and each week the order numbers and values have increased.
