PepperStreet was asked to:
- Design a new website in line with their classic and bespoke offering
- Create a destination lifestyle website to encourage people into the shop
- Create pages with a design that would inspire visits rather than sell specific lights
PepperStreet began by meeting with Jill at the shop in Cheadle Hulme. She had created an environment which showcased many unusual lights and offered customers a bespoke service helping them find lights that were right for their homes.
We wanted to take that feeling over into the website, so rather than create an online shop we created a series of Inspire Me pages which showcased the lights available in specific categories. The purpose of the site was to drive traffic into the shop so Jill could offer a more personal service.
We set up a newsletter sign up to collect visitor emails. We have multiple call to actions and on every page we have the map, location and opening hours of the shop. At every turn we had in mind the clients goal of driving customers to the shop. In addition basic SEO tools were installed on the site and onPage SEO was paramount to our build. A list of keywords was worked into the copy as well as ALT tags and meta data.
