PepperStreet was asked to:
- Design a website which would showcase Vicki’s art work.
- Create an online shop to enable sales
- Stock management to allow Vicki to manage stock levels
- Categories products
- Enable Vicki to manage the website herself
Vicki’s website was designed and built during lockdown so all the meetings and training were delivered virtually. We decided on a look and feel with the help of her logo. We opted for a clean look and feel using the hot pink of Vicki’s logos to highlight an otherwise fairly simple design. The idea was that Vicki’s art would bring the vibrancy to the site and the muted colours elsewhere would highlight her work.
The e-commerce shop used WooCommerce to deliver most of the functionality that Vicki needed. Large rollover enable images, product variants that allowed her to sell various sized prints of the same art, stock management, and categorisation. Related products allowed her to showcase other pieces of art to prospective clients. In addition to this we enable a simple currency conversion as Vicki found numerous requests for her work were coming from the US. PepperStreet integrated PayPal and Stripe as payment methods and we also integrated MailChimp to allow Vicki to build an organic mailing list.
The outcome was a beautifully crafted site which really does showcase the art work.
